As part of the We Gatherin’ 2025 celebrations, a special tree planting initiative took root in St. Thomas, with activities kicking off across all primary and secondary schools in the parish.

Led by Senator John King, Director of the We Gatherin’ Secretariat, the initiative encourages Barbadians to replenish the island—especially with grapefruit trees, helping to restore and sustain our natural environment.

Senator King also calls on all Barbadians to get involved in this meaningful effort, encouraging everyone to contribute in whatever wholesome way they can to help grow a healthier, greener Barbados.
