Gatherin’ Across The Land

Taking place from June 1st to 9th, “Gatherin’ Across The Land” was a vibrant, week-long celebration of St. George’s deep ties to the land. As one of the island’s most fertile and scenic parishes, the event spotlighted agriculture, nature, and community life. Locals and visitors enjoyed farm tours, nature hikes, cultural performances, and local food markets, all centered around honoring the parish’s contribution to Barbados’ rural economy and cultural landscape. The theme, “The Land,” encouraged reflection on sustainability, heritage, and the beauty of homegrown traditions.
