Once hailed as, the street that never sleeps, it was famous for its late-night eateries, particularly fish fry vendors and the Pink Star Restaurant, which offered, please-give-me-seconds liver cutters, served in a small light sweet loaf. Though quieter today, its legacy as a culinary and social hub endures.
