Communications Specialist for the We Gatherin Secretariat, Shane Archer emphasized the importance of engaging young minds through initiatives like this. “Our goal with the school tour was to instill a sense of unity and national pride in the students of St. Joseph. We Gatherin’ is more than an event – it’s a movement that celebrates our culture, our communities, and our future leaders.”
Chairman of the St. Joseph Parish Organizing Committee, Matthew Hinkson, told the students that they will enjoy an action-packed calendar of events for St. Joseph, beginning on April 6th with their Church Service, Thankful For the Harvest, which is happening at St. Anne Anglican Church from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
During his surprise performance, Peter Ram launched the We Gatherin’ Freestyle Challenge, inviting primary and secondary school students to showcase their creativity by chanting to a beat using the words We Gatherin’, all while wearing their school uniform. Special prizes, compliments of We Gatherin’, will be awarded to outstanding participants. To enter, students simply need to record their freestyle performance, upload it to Instagram, and tag We Gatherin’ Barbados.
